Jill Banks, based in Kent, UK, specialises in the management of regulatory
affairs for biocidal and public hygiene products on behalf of EuroChemLink.
For the past 13 years, Jill Banks has focussed her career on the regulatory
issues of public hygiene products but also has experience in turf,
amenity, home & garden and crop products. Most recently, based
in Monheim and Lyon, she was global regulatory manager fungicides
for Bayer CropScience. Before this she was European regulatory manager
for the companys range of public hygiene products and responsible
for the notification of the companys active ingredients under
the Biocidal Products Directive. Jill began her career as a formulation
chemist in the agrochemicals industry before she moved on to hold
key positions in the regulatory affairs departments of both Rhône-Poulenc
Rhodic SA and Rhône-Poulenc Agriculture where she also had responsibility
for defending product registrations in the UK and Ireland.
Jill has a sound knowledge of dossier compilation for product registration
and re-registration of public hygiene products as well as non-crop
and crop products and has practical experience of notification of
products under the Biocidal Products Directive 98/8/EC. During her
time at Bayer Environmental Science she was company representative
on the BPCA Legislative Affairs Group, at the CEFIC General Assembly
and the EWPM Group.
